Randall Bast began his career with Accenture (NYSE: ACN) helping Fortune 500 companies transform their businesses through innovation in technology and business strategy. Bast’s clients included the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Kaiser Permanente, as well as Ryder Systems, Florida Power Corporation and J.C. Penney.
In 1996, Bast founded Innovex Group on a modest investment. He grew the company organically into a successful technology consulting practice with nearly 100 employees and numerous Fortune 1000 and emerging growth clients, including Citrix Systems, CBS SportsLine, TradeStation Group, Royal Caribbean, Precision Response Corporation, IVAX Corporation, and Burger King Corporation.
In 2000, Innovex Group acquired by Citrix Systems (NYSE: CTXS). As part of the acquisition, Bast became the Vice President of Worldwide Consulting Services and was responsible for developing a Global Services practice to work with the Citrix Sales organization and Citrix Channel Partners.
Since his departure from Citrix, Bast has worked with numerous entrepreneurs as an advisor, private investor and board member. His primary focus has been on technology-enabled and emerging growth companies. Bast has held Board positions with a number of companies, including Hostopia (TSX: H), Fairway Investors, Anpesil, Mind Rocket, Tissue Fusion, Sleep Shepherd, IntelliSoft Group and Contract Logix.
Bast has also served on the Boards of the University of Florida Graduate School of Business, the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business at Nova Southestern University, and Entrepreneur’s Organization.
Bast is an avid tenis player.
